Going to Solera is a highlight for me of any trip to Grinnell to visit my daughter. I live in the Twin Cities and I only wish we had such a cozy, fun place to go with this great wine selection. A+++
Solera is the perfect small-town wine bar. Colleen, the incredibly talented owner, pours wines from all over the world. If nothing on the list grabs you, the back room holds hundreds of very reasonably priced bottles to choose from. Her pizza is just as good. The rotating menu has something new and funky every visit, plus mainstays like Italian sausage and mushroom. I’ve tried over 20 varieties and never had a bad slice.
