We were there on RAGBRAI and the place was jammed with a mix of riders, teams, and locals — all having an enjoyable time with cheap brews and tunes.”

“Best Italian food and atmosphere I've had in Iowa. A rustic, tasty delight. And best of all, I got to take home a loaf of their homemade bread for my birthday. Best present ever!”

“Chicken strip basket meal deal, Pepsi, hot fudge sunday . Fries got thrown out, tasted like old burnt grease, were cold and disgusting. Soda was flat and could tell co2 tanks hadnt been checked or changed for a while, chicken strips were good, not sure when switched to different BBQ sauce, but go back its horrific. 2nd items, (dbl/) cheeseburger meal deal, cherry Pepsi, hot fudge Sunday. Cheeseburger and fries were both said to be fresh, soda was flat, no condiments for burger or fries, wasnt asked/offered for this part of the order. Both hot fudge Sundays were good... never used to be this bad but definitely need to step it up and get the act back on track and get things corrected.”

“Haven’t been here for a couple of years, but the food is still outstanding. The service is excellent. The hostess is the best. I had the lemon chicken, it is the best I’ve ever had. Fried rice is perfect. This place is still by far one of my favorite restaurants in Iowa.”

“My daughter has dietary condition. When I come home tired from my hour long commute, I am always greated with a bag ready with her special bowl and I know she will eat well. In the second half of June, I can feed my kids a fun meal and serve it with a dozen ears of Kern's sweet corn fresh from the wagon.”
