Came back for Simpson's homecoming (Class of '08). It's been 10 years since I've been here but it essentially looks and feels the same. The Zoo is still the motherland of all dive bars for me since it was my college bar. Glad to see it's still going strong and even got to get my groove on a bit. Side note: You never realize as a college kid how weird it is to have two toilets right next to each other with no separation. Just part of the charm now!
Very nice bar! Bartender/owner is a super guy. Very accommodating. Fixing pizza's, getting drinks, shots, etc for our group of 11. Thanks for a fun evening! We'll be back on our next visit.

I had not been to the Zoo in many years but I had a wonderful time with my wife and old friends. It wasn't too crowded so we didn't feel cramped and the bar tenders were attentive. It's great for a small group especially on an "off night" so not Friday or Saturday night, if you are looking to have fun but not the crowds.Kid-friendliness: It is a bar so no one is allowed under 21 years of age.
