I'm consistently impressed by the exceptional service and food quality at The Bistro at the Courtyard by Marriott. Great Iowa City location just across from Kinnick Stadium in University Heights – the atmosphere is fantastic, the food is always fresh and top-notch, and the staff is outstanding. A consistently delightful experience, whether dining indoors or on the patio.
The biggest problem was that the space is cold because there are no double doors to enter.
Kid-friendliness: Kids would be ok here.
Wheelchair accessibility: Pretty decent

I am not happy I came to eat and was told I had to leave because a server had an issue with me..?(which I've never approached or talked to before unless I was dining in and she was my server) ... I'm very upset about this.. I literally was just minding my business trying to have a good night. Great food tho... and my other server had good and fast service<3

So my rating goes with such unacceptable behaviour. There is a staff whois definetly having problem in comunication with the customers and always made me uncomfortable and not wellcomed. Need a lots of work on it. After being 3 weekw a guest of hotel, finally last day I cluld not get breakfast at 10:09 because breakfast is served until 10 am. Instead, I can have a lunch menu, would like to ask those who write the policy, who is taking breakfast at 10 am.
Coffee is digusting and for price charged, orange juice should not be taken from a plastic can with probably lots of aditives
Very disapointing
Food is on the other side great, compliments to chef

Wanted to find a breakfast place on my way out of town, and all that was popping up was fast food or donut shops. What a pleasant surprise to find this in a hotel lobby in the shadow of Kinnick stadium. Potatoes were some of the best I have ever had.

As others have said, this feels like a real restaurant and not just a hotel restaurant. My burger and fries were really good! A solid option after a busy travel day.

This bistro actually feels like a restaurant that just happened to be in a hotel, not a typical Courtyard Bistro.

My daughter's wedding venue was held there. From the rehearsal dinner, reception and brunch the next morning there was not one complaint. The food was outstanding. The rooftop is a beautiful setting. I highly recommend the Heights Rooftop for any reception. I hear that they are also going to start catering for outside events.

Arrived at 9:15 on a Friday exhausted after a very active athletic event and the kitchen was closed the bar was listed as closing at midnight on Friday but called last call at 10. We ended up eating potato chips and fruit cups from the vending area. Under staffed, over priced for the “service” you get, evidentially the management expects its guests to “understand” when they fail to hire staff and prepare their facility. Not a place I’d recommend.
