I have celiac disease, an autoimmune disease related to my stomach that causes an extreme allergy to gluten. While at brothers, I had a reaction and had to throw up, which is something that frequently happens to me. I was entirely sober, of age, and felt perfectly fine after, but was ordered to leave due to their “no throwing up policy”. I tried to explain to the staff that I was fine and I just have an autoimmune disease, but was told that it “wasn’t an excuse or exception”. The bathroom was extremely dirty upon entrance and I left no further mess. They also kicked my friend out even though she didn’t throw up and was just making sure I was alright, as she is aware of my disorder. Very rude staff.

Manger or boss man does not know what he is doing. Me and my friend were standing outside (we were of age) and right at the door the manager turns around and decides to kick my friend out. Iowa st vs Iowa weekend. Incredibly unprofessional especially because we did not say a single word to a soul other than ourselves. Completely ruined the mood and others were backing us up as well.

Fun and great for a cheap drink. Definitely gets a little overcrowded at times.

On a Saturday in July , late afternoon, and no one was there, should have been my first clue. Went into grab a bit to eat there there are no servers. When I asked for a menu, you would think I asked for his first born. Never stayed to place an order.

Worst place in Iowa City. Staff is rude and slow. Avoid at all costs.

Unprofessional all around. I was hanging out at the front of the bar with my friends when an employee came up from behind me and ripped my wristband off,spilled my drink on me and shoved me repeatedly while telling me I needed to get the f out before they called the cops. I was basically begging for an explanation because this has never happened to me. I try not to cause any issues ever and I understand the frustration of dealing with drunk college kids but 1)don't work at a bar downtown if you can't handle the pressure and 2)regardless of the atmosphere we were in those actions were completely unacceptable. That wasn't a normal response to whatever issue they had with me. Don't go here unless your ready to potentially be thrown out with no explanation. And after speaking to multiple people about this, apparently that's just how they do things there because they "can".

They did not have any business. The disappointment was the restrictive food menu. Depending on the reason, I can understand, but to suddenly run out of food makes no sense.

Everything was great until we were about to leave, the bouncers came out of nowhere and literally shouting at us "leave", "get the f out", we were dumbfounded as to what we did wrong. But perhaps, we left through the wrong exit? Still unsure, but wow these college aged employees are rude.

Walked in and was completely ignored by staff. It wasn’t because they were busy either, there were only two people at the bar and no one sitting at the tables inside.

What a horrible placeI waited absolutely too long for a drink and before i could even get that drink I was getting put out because I was the only black person in thereand the security need to be really checking ID’s it was definitely underage girls in thereSo they not even doing they jobI’ll never come backThe staff or lack there of was rude and literally looking at me like I wasn’t supposed to be thereI’m a guest from out of town now the entire iowa city experience is destroyed forever

The bartender waited on us promptly, got our drinks and put in our order. My marinated chicken breast sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had; juicy and flavorful. My husband had the Brothers Cheeseburger and said it was very good, too.

Ordered the burger basket special. One of our burgers was undercooked as one of us got food poisoning.Used to come with my roommates back in 2018 & the burgers were good. Cook has clearly changed.Sad to see

Honestly the most annoying bar I’ve ever encountered. Staff is incredibly rude and disrespectful. Go literally anywhere else.
