I came in today. I ordered a burger. it was the tap tap to be exact. I wanted to add bacon on it but there wasn't an option for the bartender to add that when she placed my order. Instead, she went back to the kitchen to check with the cooks to see if it could be an option and they made it happen. such a great way of going above and beyond.
Amazing fun place! We had our first date at a Double Tap in Cedar Falls, IA so of course on August 16th 2022 when we got married we had to have our reception at the Double Tap in our local Iowa City, IA. Super fun drinks, great games, great pizza and super fun bartenders. Best first date and even better wedding!!!
Good selection of games and drinks, mana potion slaps. Needs a Killer Instinct machine though 😏

Double Tap (Tap Tap) is a great spot for food, drinks, and games. The place has pinball tournaments, new drink specials almost every month, a rotating selection of games, and a super friendly staff. The atmosphere is described as having a neon, baby-Vegas vibe. The staff, especially a manager named Liz, are extremely helpful and attentive, often going above and beyond. For example, one bartender checked with the kitchen to add bacon to a "tap tap" burger when it wasn't an option. The food options are excellent. The chicken strips are fresh, not from a bag, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, served with seriously good ranch. The crab rangoon pizza has a light, crispy crust and bold flavor, and the nachos are super tasty with great value. The drinks are well-made, balanced, and flavorful. The games use a convenient tap card system instead of tokens, which tracks points for rewards like free drinks. There is a great mix of classic retro and modern games, though some machines may not work perfectly. Despite this, the overall experience is fun and affordable, with daily deals for extra savings. It is perfect for a date night or a casual night out with friends.
