My husband got assaulted by the security/bouncer and got his very expensive jacket most likely stolen by a worker. None of the managers seem to care about where my things went. On holiday from the UK but got good old American racism. Female security guard on Thursday accused my friend of harassing her and threatened to call the police because he to get in the club. He left his ID at home but had proof on his phone (several clubs let him with his ID on his phone on the same night) but not physically, he asked to teoce get in a polite and calm manner but yet she somehow, she was accusing of him of “harassing” her and threatened and to call the police for absolutely no reason. He then went home to get his ID to returned to the club, I came out to speak to him and I got kicked out for no clear reason aside from speaking to him. I had my ID, I was sober and did absolutely nothing wrong, they couldn’t even justify or explain why they kicked me out. And to Make matters worse, there was this racist message In The bathroom. Living in the UK, you hear a lot about racism in the US but it’s sad see it’s really as racist as they say.

Field House Bar in Iowa City is a really fun place to go out if you’re looking for classic college bar vibes while still getting a taste of unique Iowa City culture. It’s got plenty of seating, a dance floor, excellent drinks, and little touches of Hawkeye décor here and there that make it stand out from the crowd. I would totally recommend dropping by this Iowa City night life staple at least once while you’re out!

We waited for our food for over two hours. Though we were a bigger party, we stuck to simple foods like burgers and salads. Half was delivered 45 minutes before the other half and many were left solely waiting alone for food. One of the burgers came with cheese when it was ordered without and they literally just took it in the back and scraped it off, leaving remains. Simple, easy, Cesar salads that only consisted of quite literally croutons, lettuce and bagged shredded cheese, arrived deflated and lastly of all the meals. It was horrendous when we we’re specifically in a time schedule and needed fuel. They were not even busy, we were of few friends a families there and we sat watching them stand around. Do not come here, we’re not even lying, just trying to give you a heads up.

Watched them grab a non-white man by the neck, try to shove him out the door while the man had his hands in the air,was screaming about how he couldn’t breathe. "Fieldhouse is a solid choice for people looking to really find a bar in Iowa City unlike any other." Yeah you sure won't get assaulted anywhere else like you will here.
