My dad started bringing me here for cheeseburgers back in high school. It’s still one of my favorite spots — great burgers, awesome atmosphere, and super friendly service. Love grabbing a cold beverage here. An Iowa City must-stop!

Very low key *Buffet* that makes you a burger late at night! Pretty awesome Richard burger was made for me and my partner by the awesome bartender who had jokes and stories. This man almost persuaded me to buy some hot nuts, which is on the menu also… pretty cool in there with the lights.
Vegetarian options: Cheese Sandwich might be free? And there are hot nuts, and chips.
Parking: It’s parking off of Market st which is a one way, and depending on if it’s past 5 or 6 pm, you have to pay before the time, free after time.
Was in IC for a wedding and accidentally dropped my wallet nearby- it was luckily turned in to them. They found a way to contact me almost immediately and mail it to me within the week. When I’m back I will absolutely be ordering a burger and a beer at George’s! Very kind people.
