Tables are a bit cramped and bathrooms not so elegant. Food was a but overpriced and lacked flavor but potato salad and lemon pie and the beef tartar on sourdough was perfect
From start to finish just an unexpected standout in Iowa City. The owner was wonderful, our waiter Tyler was warm and interactive. The food was out of this world. They are certainly not afraid of flavor. The biscuits were nostalgic and brought me back to Nanny's kitchen in the summer. The salad was punchy and full of flavor. The tartare was insanely good. The orecchiette had spice and brightness but was still rich and filling. Ended with the lemon pie which was tangy and so delicious....read full review
Lovely atmosphere, warm and welcoming staff, and the food was absolutely amazing. We came with the whole family and had such a wonderful experience.
What I especially loved was the pacing of the meal. It reminded me that good food deserves a moment of calm… time to slow down, enjoy each dish, and simply enjoy being together.
Everything felt thoughtful and unhurried. We truly enjoyed our evening and would absolutely come back.
