Just to be clear, they have beer and drinks more than food. Hatchet Jack's is an incredibly fun place to go blow off some steam, and learn a new skill. They have throwing stars now too (fun!)

Love this place, awesome place to come de-stress with your friends and have a few beers. They have party rooms, shuffle board, darts, an arcade, all alongside the main attraction of axe throwing. This location has a bunch of pretty cool staff members ready to help you learn the ropes. Would definitely recommend.

Came here on a Saturday evening and instantly I knew this was a community environment. It Carrie's a chill vibes and it appears that all walks of life come and enjoy themselves here. Huge shout out to Caitlyn (hopefully spelled that correctly) for being such an amazing trainer and teacher. There was a decent amount of people who came through in the one hour we were there and she was phenomenal at helping them all. Upon entering you're required to sign a waiver but not really show your ID and one hour is $23, which I felt was pretty steep but maybe it's due to slow business or the location versus demand. Who knows? Nonetheless, I enjoyed my time here and would be inclined to return and practice my technique or blow off some steam.

A good time was had by all. The staff was quick to offer advice on how to throw the hatchets. They also sell a variety of beer and soda.

My wife and I had so much fun here! The employee who was working the night we visited (I think his name was Jake) was super helpful - he gave us a quick tutorial on the various ways to throw the axes, and came by to provide tips when we were struggling to get the axes to stick. They also have a great selection of canned beer. We'll definitely go back!

Had no stinking clue what to expect walking in but what a fun time it turned out to be!! Went on a double date with friends and every one of us were sticking axes in cottonwood by the 3rd or 4th throw!!! Grrrreat stress reliever!! Different games available. Kinda like darts in a way. Canned cocktails and local iowa craft beers available for purchase. You can order pizzas from pizza ranch right next door. Will definitely go again

For my father's 73rd birthday, our family group of 6 visited Hatchet Jack's on a Sunday afternoon. I can honestly say (not a paid robot XD!) that our experience there contributed to probably the best birthday experience for my father at least in my lifetime of birthday memories (30 some ish years lolz) This sentence now may now seem like much to some, but for me to be able to say this, it brings tears of joy to my eyes: my Dad smiled... He was happy and legitimately was having the "time of his life." Its already been decided, and by all, this is our new birthday tradition - too bad our next one will be for November; not sure we want to wait that long! But I could go on and on about the wonderful and SAFE environment, how clean, orderly and organized it was, the nice little arcade my little nephew could play in...but the customer service was by far top notch. God bless the wonderful lady who helped us that day, I feel awful I can't recall her name (nothing personal/ I'm just forgetful - younger, beautiful brunette w/ curls I could never achieve in my dreams, pleasantly sassy ?? ) but the most genuine kindness that is a rarity to find in anyone let alone customer service. She took the time to yes show us how it works, they out all the "rules, safety, and technical stuff." But also worked with each of us individually at our two designated lanes(?) helping us each figure out what our own techniques are. Except Dad. Because "He's been throwing since he was 5 years old at trees out in the woods, in 5 feet of snow, below zero, uphill, in that other depression, an apple off some siblings head, blindfolded." Shhh Dad was even taking pointers from the "nice pretty young lady" ? And for us girls there, this lady was so sweet and (at least with me) its like she somehow just KNEW I'm that sort of person who needs positive reinforcement in certain situations...and she was that encouragement for me. More so even. She really POSITIVELY affected my self esteem. In that moment while learning this new trick but also in a friendly, sisterly type of way that she had no clue that secretly I really, really needed just in general at that point in my life. So I hope that doesn't come off creepy, but God bless that woman. For real: you never know when someone just needs some kindness and she was the epitome of it ❤?I really could keep going on lol just so many cool aspects to this place that I had no idea existed there. We even got some "free firewood" upon leaving from an old target they had to replace! Double win for Dads birthday! And one last huge bullet point for me personally: one BIG reason I had never been before was that I always was under the impression this place was also marketed as a big bar hangout? Dont ask me way persay but that's just how it got associated in my brain. I'm coming up on 5 years of sobriety so obviously bars arent really my bag ya know? But if it hadn't been decided for Dads birthday outing, I probably wouldn't have ever gone...yes there is a bar (maybe? Lol see it was so NOT a bar environment - I don't even know where the bar was in there lmao) and at least yes you can drink. But like arguably any other place: YOU DONT HAVE TO! lol but really it was NOT a bar atmosphere at all to my pleasant surprise ??? so if you're like myself and looking for a fun SOBER activity too, Hatchet Jack's is the place for you! (I think I just made a jingle...copyright deal? We'll be in touch ???)
