I can't believe that I've been passing by the place for the two years that it's been open. I was greeted warmly by Regina, whom I asked for a little bit of help as I had never navigated African cuisine. After reviewing all of her favorites (the best place to start, if you ask me), I settled on a close runner-up - jollof rice with goat and fried beans - and It was fantastic. The food was served quickly, was plated beautifully, and tasted even better than it looked. I will definitely be back to delve further into the menu!

Stopped in on a slow Sunday afternoon and watched the end a premier league game w the proprietor and the had fufu first time. Like doughy mashed potatoes and oddly satisfying. I had it w spicy okra dna beef slow cooked. It was very unique and savory and I am going to come back again w my son.

I went there and ate there was hair in my food they say that the lady is Muslim but she wasn’t the only person in the kitchen at the time multiple kids. They just keep rejecting that they are in the wrong for our food having hair. They don’t offer nothing for the inconvenience just took the food and said that we are lying. The manger I spoke too was also so rude he kept trying to get around the point. The point was there was hair in my food if you go anywhere else you will get a refund or new food made. So unprofessional the lady kept walking away and all. I am so disappointed in them and wish that thing could have got handle better. All I wanted was a refund so I could go eat somewhere else. If you go to a fast food place eat half of it get I’m the middle of your food find a hair and take it back, would you not be upset if they said you was lying?

Dietary restrictions: They are not clean at all. I got food with hair in it. I spend 27.00 on some food I wouldn’t even feed me or my little sister. I took my food back half way ate with hair in it. They didn’t offer to remake my food or give me a refund said I was lying and that it happens a lot so I couldn’t get my money back. I have ate here before and it was good I like fufu but I don’t like this customer service and they have lost my family as a customer. It isn’t fair to us. We didn’t get to finish out $27 meal before of hair. There was also kids running around in the kitchen area. And the order taker didn’t have a hair net on as well I don’t understand how we would be lying and this would be our hair. I have green hair myself and the person was sharing with has real short straight hair. She kept walking away while we was talking and all. So disrespectful

I called in an order and the guy on the phone was soooo nice and helpful in choosing what to order. I ordered "normal spice", because he said the next step up would be super spicy for me. He was right - the Normal spice was more than enough and had my mouth on fire! I got the okra dish, which was like an African version of gumbo. It was really good flavor - but hard for me to eat at times because of the spice heat. I got it with the cassava fufu. He warned me about the texture of cassava, but I eat cassava all the time, so this wasn't anything strange for me. I wish I could try the dish in mild version because it was super yummy, I just wanted to feel my tongue better ? I also liked the fufu, but at the end when my gumbo was gone, but I was finishing up the fufu on its own - I swear it had a moldy taste. But maybe that was my burned taste buds. Anyways, so many things sounded good on the menu, I'd be up to try it all. Pretty nice to have an African restaurant in IC!

Loved every aspect of my meal the other day. The puff puffs are similar to beignets but way fluffier and just slightly sweet, kinda nutmeg spiced. What I liked most was the fufu with cassava sauce and beef. I've never had something so packed with flavor and so easy to eat, I damn near almost choked. My friend had gotten the okra sauce with fufu which had a good bit of crawfish flavor, if you like seafood style. All in all, the food got to us quick, the portions were stellar for the price and very filling. I'd come back round for more fufu and the jollof rice next time ❤️
