Really happy with my visit to Iowa City American Legion Post 17. The drinks were excellent and everything was reasonably priced. Every dish came out hot and tasted homemade. I'll be recommending this spot to everyone I know.
We love the Legion - a regular stop during the football season. Great drink prices, free popcorn and friendly people.
Tonight we got “take-out” from their special COVID-19 menu. 3 pieces of delicious fried chicken, absolutely delicious mashed potatoes w/ gravy, steamed carrots, fresh and tasty coleslaw, a baked potato and a roll w/ butter. $11.00! Also had a breaded tenderloin w/ fries.

One of the most fun laid back places around the area. The bartenders are awesome and a lot of fun to interact with. The food is delicious and Karaoke rocks the house on Friday Nights. The Legion is also a good place to catch a football or baseball game. I would highly recommend this place to any group of people.
