One of my favorite restaurants in town. I have been thrilled with every dish I've tried so far. At first I thought I was choosing well, but now I think you really can't miss. Favorites at the moment include: spicy fried chicken wings (bone-in), the beer hot pot, beef bulgogi, gimbap, and lychee tea. It's also a cool, upbeat atmosphere. The owner is gracious, and the ingredients are always fresh and amazing.

I don't know what they put in there to make the spicy fried chicken SO flavorful and juicy, but it's truly some of the best korean fried chicken I've ever had. Definitely the best fried chicken in iowa city, BAR NONE. Seriously, if you come here, just get the fried chicken and a drink. It is life changing.
Came out here for a date, nobody else in the restaurant so easy to be seated (we did make a reservation easily just in case) and it was great! I do like the addition of call buttons at each table to call for a server easily but we didn’t need to utilize them for our night as she was plenty attentive to our table!
Our server was very nice and polite, explained things well to us and chatted some about what we had ordered including some recommendations for how to eat and season the meat as we’d gone with the korean BBQ which neither of us had ever tried before! The explanations were greatly appreciated because we wanted to make sure we were eating correctly and the recommendations for seasoning/sauce for the meat were amazing!
We also asked her favorite flavor of soju as we’d never tried that either and it was a great thing we did as her choice was one neither of us would’ve initially thought to pick but we loved it!
Even empty, we enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant and I’m sure when the restaurant is busy the atmosphere is equally as enjoyable, especially if you enjoy live music which we noticed is something they have at least every Friday!
Overall, it’s definitely a place I would come back to and have already recommended to several other people for the food and the service!
Ordered for delivery over the weekend, everything we ordered was so good! Kids loved the food too.
Taro Milk Tea with bubbles was one of the best milk teas I’ve had. Bang bang chicken was delicious and spicy, and the Roasted Beef Kimbap was wonderful. Great environment with K-Pop music.
Parking: Park in the Dubuque St. Parking Ramp and walk over. Usually first hour is free. There is also parallel parking spots around near the restaurant.

I’m outside the door and the website says ‘open’ yet it’s not open? The lights are out and it should be open until 11, very disappointed because this was supposed to be for my friends birthday dinner.

While exploring Iowa City and trying out different restaurants, I stumbled across this spot after ordering delivery from them a few times—and I finally decided to dine in person.
First, let’s talk about the food. The prices might feel a little steep at first, but trust me, they make sense once you see (and taste) what you’re getting. The flavors, quality, and portion sizes are absolutely worth it. Everything tasted super authentic, with a perfect balance of flavors. I tried the Kim bap, the Jajang noodles, and the Japanese seafood pancake, and they were all so good—comforting, flavorful, and satisfying.
Now, about the location. The restaurant itself is clean, cozy, and nicely kept. There’s even a stage inside, which kind of threw me off. It felt like they were going for a certain theme, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. That’s just me, though! It wasn’t totally my vibe, but hey—preferences are personal, right?
Overall, I totally recommend this place if you’re looking for delicious Asian or Korean food in Iowa City. It’s definitely worth a visit! 🍜✨

Not a Korean restaurant:
I remember visiting this restaurant once and never thinking of it as a Korean restaurant. It lacks authenticity and is simply a fusion Asian restaurant. If you are a Korean, you cannot say it is a Korean restaurant.
Also, jajangmyeon is not a cold noodle dish, and traditional Korean soup does not include cilantro.

Omg, this place is so good! I had the braised pork on rice and it had so many flavors. The meat was not dry at all and had a good combination of savory and spice. Definitely left with a happy belly :)

There's always something disappointing whenever I order a delivery. Around the time i forget about it, i make the same mistake of giving them a chance and feel regretful. If they don't have the key ingredient, I expect them to either contact me or cancel the order. Instead, again todah, they just decide to do what they want and send me something cheaper than the original menu that i would be never interested in, with a dollar bill change with a sorry memo that they don't have that. What a clever way to waste my money.

They took almost 20 minutes without giving me any notice, I will no longer accept any orders or deliveries from this location. I could understand for the delay if 1) I was given sometime of time frame and 2) if it was busy. This place is nearly empty at 3:30. Unacceptable for any restaurant, hell the bars are faster on Friday and Saturday nights during warm periods when everyone is out partying.
