Maggie's Farm Wood-Fired Pizza

We met Kyle ahead of an Iowa football game and I tried a small slice of the Bianca pie. AMAZING! Last Friday evening my fiancé and I dined in and had amazing service from Liz. We had the Barre, Italy imported burrata as a starter. We then shared the lasagna and the Bianca with sausage. We finished with the desert Liz suggested, the chocolate mousse. Everything was amazing and we can’t wait to dine with Maggie’s Farm again!

The customer service is amazing and upstanding! The food was incredible and the atmosphere is exceptional. We had a reservation for my husband’s birthday on a Saturday night. They took a few minutes to get our table ready. We were perfectly fine waiting, it was not an inconvenience at all. They ended up comping all of our desserts! Which was not necessary but very much appreciated . Love this place!

We love having Maggie’s so close as we just live over on Koser and can walk.
However I have to say last night was the second time we were disappointed.
We sat at the bar and ordered a drink. I got my wine, because two of the beers on draft were out.
My husband got a miller light, I had to ask 10 minutes after my wine came if he could get it. And then they had no glasses available f him to put his beer in. Really?
We both ordered pizza.
His came out, 20 minutes later mine finally came out.
The crust was soggy and very little toppings.
I never write a review, but had to this time in hopes that our experience will be better if we decide to return.

Great pizza! Best wood fired pizza I’ve had in Iowa and right up there with my fave pizza places on the planet. They had a special sweet corn pizza that was great. I’ll go back in a heartbeat. Service was good but not blown away so 4/5

I NEVER post negative reviews but Maggie's Farm Wood-Fired Pizza is the worst gluten-free pizza I've ever eaten. Or tried to eat. It was gummy, undercooked and what taste it had wasn't good. There was absolutely no hint of wood-fired. I wish I'd ordered Pizza Hut or Domino's gluten-free pizza--and that's saying a lot.

We were staying in the area for college orientation, and this restaurant was a few blocks away. We had an amazing experience with delicious food. The homemade pizza and salad were perfect. The dessert was also homemade and amazing. We will be back for sure!

Definitely get the olives! The lemon zest hits perfectly. Really good gluten-free options, if you get a salad, request extra dressing.

Enjoyed a blackberry cassis mixed drink. Simple side salad with lemon vinaigrette dressing. Margherita pizza. Everything was delicious. Reasonable prices.

Don’t know about the brick and mortar restaurant but the stall at the farmers market in Iowa city had such abysmal food handling manners that I asked for a refund. Picking noses, handling money and touching pizza and basil with bare nose picking hands. Ugh!

Excellent wood fired pizza (fungi 4 cheese with arugula) and veggie lasagna.

Loved the classic pepperoni pizza and bread bites with garlic. The staff was all so sweet

Always enjoy time and food at Maggie's!

I eat here every single time I am in Iowa City (frequently!) and have never had a bad meal or bad service. Authentic Neopolitan pizza, pastas are excellent as are the salads. The service is outstanding as well. Fresh. local ingredients make a huge difference
