No kidding, EVERYTHING at this place worth you trying! If you want a casual dining experience with terrific food in south Iowa City try Mesa 503. I lived in New York City for two years but I don’t think I’ve found better Salvadoran food there

Stopped in with the family while passing through Iowa City. Came based on ratings and was not disappointed. The food was so delicious. We tried plantains, pupusas, and tamales. Staff were friendly and very attentive, helping us pick a good variety of dishes to share.

Absolutely amazing little restaurant! This was my first time having Salvadoran food and it didn't disappoint. I had a couple of pupusas and a steak dish which was fantastic. The rice was absolutely heavenly, and pricing was very reasonable!
