Ate here on November 7 in the early afternoon. I ordered the baked white fish dinner, which included a large roll, French fries and a side salad. The fish was a large portion and baked to perfection. Our waitress was friendly and took good care of us. All employees were friendly. The place appeared clean and there is ample parking. Prices are reasonable. Would definitely come back again when in Iowa City.
My wife and I went here to try something new and the food, atmosphere, and service were just eh. Then again we only went once and it was busy so could have just been an off day. Food was pretty bland, definitely a place that older folks would enjoy. Nothing wrong just better places around.

Per recommendation with a coworker I decided to try this place out. I went for lunch and I have to say the food is delicious. If you're looking for a down to earth, hometown feel dining experience, look no further. Midtown was quite good and I will definitely keep it in the rotation. I'm excited to try breakfast when I get the opportunity.

Several of us retirees meet quarterly for breakfast and the staff is very accommodating and friendly. They set up a special place for us to eat and visit and the food is very good. I highly recommend that you give them a try. You won't regret it!

This is probably the best brunch restaurant in town. The service is quick and pleasant. The menu has different offerings than your usual breakfast or brunch fare, which is nice. The food is good, not great. Regular diner style. I'll be back to try lunch next time.

Looked for a traditional breakfast restaurant and found this hidden gem. Tasty food, friendly staff...what more can you ask for?To the 1 star review...this is a privately owned business (I asked), so I don't know them. Why would you give negative feedback, when we all know food prices have risen? If money is that tight for you, maybe you should pack your own food, instead of trying to give negative feedback to a business that is trying to survive. I found the prices reasonable and the service prompt and friendly. I hope it made you feel better about yourself.

It was a joy to eat here. The place was very clean, including the bathroom. Our meals were served with a smile, and my food was delicious. I do not live in this area, but I shall return.

Food was your typical breakfast fare. Very good with good prices. One of my fellow diners would have said this though. 'Do something more spectacular with your scrambled eggs.' As an example, my wife make her scrambled eggs with garlic salt and a little cheese. Makes all of the difference
