food is always excellent and service is always great when I stop by.
Caution when ordering food: 1) Google prices for their menu may be outdated. A $9.99 sandwich was 12.99 when I ordered. 2) They might not tell you about up-charges. When I ordered a sandwich, I was asked what type of bread and they listed them. When I chose the sourdough, I had no idea it would be an extra $1. 3) They add 50 cents to carry-out orders. There weren't even any napkins in the bag and I forgot to look. lol
Owner is a super nice guy! Definitely going back:)

Quinton's Bar & Deli in Iowa City is known for its pleasant and casual atmosphere, offering excellent service. It is a go-to place for a quick drink or to watch the Hawkeyes. The pork tenderloin is a popular choice, considered by some as the best. Although the Reuben sandwich is usually satisfying, there was a disappointing version with grilled white bread, lacking sauerkraut and thousand island dressing. The Italian beef sandwich had a limited amount of beef, but the salad was enjoyable. The bar features a good selection of beers and has a clean, comfortable setting. The food is often described as simple bar food that is adequate, but nothing special. While the staff tries their best to keep customers happy, some have experienced cold food, including below-average cheese curds. It is noted that they do not offer a pastrami sandwich. There are a few vegetarian appetizers available. The restaurant has 40 parking spots at $2 an hour or free after 6 PM, with several nearby parking garages offering similar rates. It is wheelchair accessible, with a nice wide entrance and outside seating. However, it is not particularly kid-friendly. The patio is popular in the summer, and the drink deals are a favorite among many visitors.
