Recently ordered takeout from here after not having it for a while. We had 2 ramen bowls, 1 with pork belly and 1 with short ribs, as well as their potstickers. The amount of actual protein that you get for the price that they charge is hard to comprehend. 2 tiny pieces of pork and 3 small short ribs. I also paid $1.50 to add their house pickles and I received 6 tiny, thinly sliced pieces of cucumber (you used to get a small container of them). I paid $9 for 4 potstickers which were cold and mushy. Overall, we spent $60 for broth (which lacked flavor) and noodles with a tiny bit of protein, and mushy/cold potstickers. We won't be ordering from here again any time soon, especially at those prices.

Ramen Belly always hits the spot! Delicious ramen, and belly bowls. We also love the house pickles! The staff is very nice and it's a cozy place with good vibes! Never disappointed when we eat here! I will proudly wear my Ramen Belly shirt around town.

The Abura (brothless) ramen is phenomenal! I've been told that the other ramen is also great, but I love the Abura ramen so much that I've never been able to convince myself to order something else. All of the ingredients are delicious, and there is just the right amount of sauce to let all the flavors emerge. Employees are always friendly and keep drinks full, and the restaurant has fun decor. The place is small, but there's a nice patio area when the weather cooperates.

Pork belly dumplings divine
Seeweed salad amazing
Short ribs a little too charred
Ramen could have been a touch more flavorful

We went for the first time tonight! Great ramen and we will definitely be back again if we are in the area. We drove from Anamosa to try it out.

LOVE Ramen Belly! Food was amazing! I came here for a date night with my husband and it did NOT disappoint! We are bringing my in-laws here this weekend and plan to bring our kids! They are kid friendly and there’s a park right across the street, with very little traffic. So if you eat outside you can keep an eye on your kiddos while they play!

Considering the location and size, the food here far surpassed my expectations. I had the House ramen with pork belly and it was phenomenal. Pork belly was super tender, soup base was packed with flavor, and all the toppings were delicious. Overall service was excellent as well.

Parking: There’s a handful of parking spots in front, otherwise you can park anywhere on the street side.

Kid-friendliness: It is an amazing place for kids, especially because there is a playground right outside!

I can't do 3.5 so I'll have to do a 3.

4 potstickers for $8, not cooked remotely how potstickers should be. No crispy bottoms at all, just gooey/wet like a home cook would do it.

Their 'tonkatsu' was smashed thin and was dry as heck. Any time we had it in Japan it was meaty and juicy. They are stretching their dollar and charging a premium price while doing so.

Their 'ramen in a blanket' is two smashed thin 'tonkatsu' with a large amount of what tastes like moist packaged ramen - for $15. That's insane.

Their 'tonkotsu' ramen is okay I suppose. It has no umami to it, no mouth feel, and is overall just not like it should be. I was expected a white and creamy broth full of flavor. What I got was a cloudy brown broth that only tasted of some pork meat. I'm sure it's great to anyone that hasn't had the real thing. For us it was a disappointment.

The service was good. The girls were practically running in a circle from inside to out and seemed to be keeping everyone happy.

The menu on their website is not updated regularly either apparently as they did not have Pocari, which we haven't had since we came back from Japan and really wanted to get.

Not a huge deal, but there were flies in the place. It happens, but it is also still annoying. There was also (I assume) an employees kid there that kept running around and in and out.

We were excited to try this place, but man it was such a let down if you've actually been to a place with authentic ramen. (honestly whoever cooked the potstickers and charged $2 a piece should be ashamed of themselves.)
