I would say the Union Jack is my favorite pizza in Iowa City. After saying this I like the hybrid not quite deep dish style. Their thin crust is good but doesn't compete with Pagliai's. Other than that good service and good atmosphere for a pizza place.

Go to spot for deep dish in the area! Any of their pies are excellent and extremely filling. It can be pretty packed / wait times can be long especially on weekend nights, but that's just a reflection of how great the food is !

We Went to the Coralville Strip location after A Hawkeye Game and everything was Terrific!! We got Loaded Cheese Fries with Bacon, Spinach Artichoke Dip and Mozz Sticks and All 3 were Great!! We also got The Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza and The Detroit Style Pizza. I will go there the Next time I am in IA City just to take a Pizza to Go and I am 90 Miles Away!! Great Fast Service, Nice staff. First time there and Will Definitely Be Back!!!
We ordered a gluten free vegan cheese pizza. We were served a regular pizza. This caused my wife extreme gastrointestinal discomfort. Then another patron accused us of stealing her pizza.

My star rating for Wig and Pen is based on 14 years of ordering their pizza. I love their pizza. However, what prompted me to write this review was my experience with them tonight. I was incredibly excited to see that they now offer Detroit style pizza. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed when I got home and actually looked at the pizza. On no planet is this a Detroit style pizza. The only thing this has in common with Detroit style pizza is the shape. There is no sauce!? Also, the hallmark of a Detroit style pizza is the cheese going all the way to the edge of the pan to create a crust. As you can see from the photo, this is not the case. I will continue to order from Wig and Pen for years to come, but I will never order the Detroit style pizza again!

Just went with family from out of town! The service was phenomenal. The food was fresh and tasty and the servings were generous! I got the Crab Rangoon Pizza! Will definitely be back!
