Awesome little Cafe. Very friendly. Owner is a spry spunky senior. The cook made everything just as I requested (crispy bacon, well done hashbrowns, thick toast perfectly toasted). It was incredible how fast my order came out. I would definitely highly recommend this friendly cafe.

The biscuits and gravy, needed seasoned, or cooking the flour better before making the gravy, a little salt would be good.

Very nice little place. We stopped here for breakfast coming off the trails. The food was very good and the service was even better. Definitely glad we gave this place a try.

Home cooking. Why go to a breakfast chain when you can come here instead??This is not a greasy spoon. Just a tiny cafe with good breakfast food. Can't speak for the lunch menu but breakfast all day. Seats 20 so either call ahead or don't be in a hurry. I'm not kidding. It's tiny -which is what makes it fun to new places like this. Kitchen is tiny so our meals came out in pieces. If you are in a hurry or you like all your food to come out at once don't visit as you'll be super-annoyed. Stuff comes out right as it's made. Might need to wait to be seated and get your food, but worth it. Thick cut slices of ham, toast and sausage patties. Generous portions. Family of 5 ate for $50. Plenty of food and some to take home. Pancakes are huge! Pro tip: if you are hungover I think their biscuits and gravy would do the trick. I wasn't and it was still very good. But the need to settle or coat your stomach would benefit from a full order. I'd even just eat this and nothing else on my next visit.Hope to be back another rime when we are in Des Moines area. Great lil cafe'. Hard working folks who want your business. Food is above average! A/C was down today, but hey stuff happens. Will go back.

What a gem!! Small quaint cafe where the owner personally greets you. The food was fantastic! It's no wonder the biscuits and gravy, and the butter rum French toast were so highly recommended on Yelp...delicious! We will come back when in Des Moines again. I'd like to try their lunches as well!!

Food was so good. Like your grandma would make. At first service was a little slow but it's a small little cafe so totally understandable. Definitely going back

Don't miss out on this small cafe! The food is fantastic and the staff is attentive. We had the Gyro and Reuben. Both were exceptional! The Reuben must have had 1 lb of meat. Very filling. I'll definitely go back when I'm in the neighborhood.

This is a small and cozy cafe with great food and service. Happy to support local now that we’re getting back to our normal way of life with this pandemic. You can pre-order online as well. Will come here again the next time I’m in town.

I've gone here since it was under previous ownership and have always had a great breakfast. The current owner is super sweet. After being closed due to Covid-19, it was great being able to eat inside again. They now have this new Facebook page as well as an Instagram account, and online ordering for TO GO orders. Nice. And, their coffee is only $2, so cheaper than any of the other places I frequent for breakfast.

Portions are large and prices are reasonable but the space is tiny and cramped, staff couldn’t keep up. We had a larger group of 9 and our order came out at different times over a span of 15-20 minutes. We ordered two of the kids pancakes and our kids split and finished eating the first before the second ever came out. Shouldn’t tout the pancakes if you can’t make more than one at a time. Not bad if you got the time but probably won’t be back
