Great small town Italian restaurant. Well worth an outing or day trip. They were not offering red sauce when you were there, which seemed odd, but it’s a really cool place with a nice vibe, food and service.
The food is delicious. Took awhile before food order was taken, then longer until it was ready. But it was worth the wait. I recommend checking it out if you're in the Kalona area and looking for a nice restaurant. As long as you're not in a hurry :)
I stopped in for lunch while traveling for work. What a pleasant surprise as i walked in and was greeted. The smell of bread and flavors from the kitchen got me excited for my lunch. The whole staff was friendly and the owner even stopped by my table and introduced himself. I will be sure to stop in for dinner next time as I hear the steaks are amazing.
