I'm so disappointed! I never imagined I would leave Taylor's a bad review. I grew up coming here. And have eaten here my whole life. I visited last week and ordered my normal. The sandwiches were subpar. I don't know what you've changed but I wont be coming back until you undo the changes. Especially for the prices you are charging! I'm so sad! đ

Quintessential Mtown vintage joint. We all know that. Sandwiches are currently about $14 for two after taxes but Iâd rather support locally. No menus available when you enter though almost everyone is a regular. Napkins and spoons are kinda skimpy and I feel like they should have some sort of place setting with so much grease just to keep things sanitary.

Taylor's Maid-Rite is a throughback! If you've never had a Maid-Rite it is worth a try. If you have you know! The staff there is friendly and attentive. The menu is simple and the service is quick.

On our last visit, we placed a substantial to-go order of eight sandwiches and three malts, and we were completely blown away by the speed and efficiency of the staff. MUST visit. It's the same way it's been for decades. The only seating is around the u-shaped counter on diner stools. It's a step back in time in the best way possible. The entire staff is amazing. They're great at their jobs and make everyone feel right at home. The food is delicious, the menu simple. It's everything you would want a local diner-type place to be.

Definitely an Iowa favorite. You wonât get a better maid-rite. Getting a chocolate malt is also a must. I got 2 with only pickles. I wanted the homemade peach pie but I was too full. It looked good.
