All the locals know that for the best authentic Mexican Food Maria's is hard to beat. The main location on State Street or if you are lucky enough to see the food truck around you won't be disappointed. Stays open late too!
I can't say how proud I am of these people. We returned from vacation this morning after missing the tornado. They were not charging for food tonight but taking free will donations as they have been feeding the town after the disaster. Of coarse I gave a generous donation because not only do they have the best burritos I have ever had, they are the nicest people and we want to make sure they are in business for years to come. Bravo guys and we will continue to support you...
I have stopped here several times and gotten tacos. This place is about as authentic Mexican as you can get in the middle of Iowa. The tacos are always awesome - just like I had in Mexico years ago. The salsa roja (red sauce) is hot, really hot, and really good if you like hot sauce.
