Every time I roll into Iowa, there's one stop that’s non-negotiable: this pizza place! It was my grandpa’s absolute favorite, and honestly, I get why ... the service is always top-notch, and the pizza? Totally hits the spot. It’s kind of a tradition now, and I’m not mad about it!

This may legitimately be THE best pizza in Iowa. Between the service and food, it's no surprise that Zeno's is a staple in Marshalltown! I hope they're around for another 100 years at least so that I can stop in whenever I'm in town.
Or more specifically, I hope I'm able to visit Marshalltown again SPECIFICALLY to come back to Zeno's.

What a horrible experience for a former honorable establishment. The service was performed by TIM and was absolutely non-existent. He never greeted us, and when he arrived at the table, he said we would have to wait because there is a larger party ahead of us. At least take a drink order, we have been seated. Half-hour later he returned for drink orders. We ordered. The pizza took 75 miniutes and we only had 2. It tasted awful. Not the same it used to be. The crust was sour and the sauce very bland! What happened to the Zenos we knew. Upon check out, we did make the cashier, who says she was the manager, aware of the experience. No apologies, no comps, nothing! Basically said she could do nothing about it and that's it! Whoa! Really? The former owners would have never allowed this! Not even close. From a Marshalltown native, it is very saddening to have this experience from a once glorified establishment!

Service was horrible. Waited 30 minutes for the server to take a drink order. Over an hour to get food. Pizza was not good, no flavor. Sauce had no flavor. Bring back the original recipe. The cheese bread tasted bitter like the dough had gone bad.

Food was good server seemed like she had too many tables to remember everything literally asked my wife if she's been helped towards the end of our meal when she got up to go the bathroom as she was a new customer walking in... but pizza was good.

Great service, fantastic pizza, good flavors, some foods like the cannoli were unavailable during my trip but that's ok. Feels like a trip in time seeing the interior. A good place, worth a visit.

I am disappointed with my recent Taco pizza that my mom and I had while I was visiting her. I grew up on a farm outside Marshalltown, and grew up on Zenos pizza. We had it every Sunday night for years and I like to have it every time I visit. I am hoping this was a one time mistake, there were green peppers on a taco pizza and the taste was lacking. I will try again when I visit next, I’m really hoping the recipe for your any of your pizzas hasn’t changed.
