Had no problems and enjoyed my food
Very tasty dinner! I got the Bangkok chicken, if you like General Tso's and Orange chicken I would highly recommend.
The food was good and the lady was very nice!
Husband and I tried this place out as a recommendation from the co-owner (great guy) as we previously dined at his other restaurant “Vulcan”. We got there about 2 ish in the afternoon and it was quiet and slow paste. Our first impression of the restaurant when we arrived was that it was inside of an old building downtown, the furniture and decor was outdated and some of the booths were ripped. Overall though, yet the atmosphere and vibe was slow and yet relaxing. I think mainly because it was just probably us and maybe 2 other people. It kind of had like an old vintage vibe per se. We were greeted by Miew with friendliness and seated by the windows. Miew was polite and very friendly and showed us Menu items and explained what some menu items were that we wanted to try. What we ordered:
Drinks- Thai Tea 10/10 Shirley Temple 10/10
Appetizers- Gyoza (fried) 5/10 (too bland)
Sauce 10/10
Lunch Special- Sashimi (3) pieces salmon, yellowtail, tuna 10/10 for all the sashimi
It was the bento box lunch special and it came with other items. The others dishes in the bento box like salad 7/10 and egg roll 1/10 (not much flavor, and plain). Miso soup was 9/10. Hubby ordered the Cashew nut special 8/10, it was very tasty. I enjoyed the sushi roll 9/10. It was a sweet lunch special 2/$12. We had the Kanikama roll and Spicy Tuna roll. Tasted really good for being in IOWA. All in all we had a nice lunch and enjoyed a calm afternoon in downtown Mason City.
Wasn’t a fan of the curry I had gotten but the ramuné was great and angel wings smelt amazing (sadly wasn’t what I ordered). Very pricy but it’s worth the visit if you enjoy the environment and food
The food was delicious and served in a very timely manner, our waiter was great, he checked on us for drinks and clearing the table at just the right time, and friendly, over alliteration was great to take my family there.
I ordered very last minute, very rude of me but had a craving, they were kind and called me when I was running late to pick up the order. I told them just to set it outside I wouldn’t be very late, as I didn’t want anyone to wait on me. They instead waited for me at the door and handed me my food. Huge thank you and apologies to the staff that stayed late for me ❤️
Great food, great service, and nice ambiance inside. Very kid friendly staff. They even played with my little ones.definitely coming back here often
Kid-friendliness: The staff was great with kids

I had only one issue in this place the men's restroom ? they need new lighting because it's to dark in there I feel like I'm in a dungeon.
cleaner restroom floors and walls soap dispenser machine with a censor on it and for the water of the sink so we don't have to touch anything.
And also a foot door opener as well because you never know if someone didn't wash their hands coming out the restroom.
Other than that they did as much as they could to make sure we were very happy with our food and every way as well as with their customer service it was awesome they really cared about what we needed and they supplied it with a smile ?.
Plus their food is excellent tasting I would truly would come back again.
But just not use their restroom without gloves and a flash light.

I've never had an issue before, however after my last visit, never again will I walk back in there. I ordered my go to, and when it came I pointed out it didn't have the shrimp tempura, and then when she returned I pointed out that it didn't have the salmon or yellowtail either, she said they were out of yellowtail and that they make it the way the cook feels, ?I said read the descriptions and tell me again how they are going to ignore the description, and make it with what he wants, I didn't get to change my order or get a discount, and the call never came that I was promised.

This place is a hidden gem! We came to eat as a crew, and the server/hostess was kind enough to keep the place open and let us all get full. She is a super sweet lady and always greets with a smile! Her name is Shelly and shes a rickstar!!! The Red Mustang Roll is to die for, and the Crispy Red Snapper sent me over the moon! DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS PLACE!! You'll regret it.

Went there for tea with a friend one day, the next day brought another lady to eat and have some Tom yum and salad...man that house dressing was great. We had great service and a wonderful way to end our fellowship. Thank you to the bistro employees for showing better hospitality than other restaurants. I'm soo, going back!
