The food is great, the service is great! Very cute cafe decorated with aprons, of course! The Western Omelet was stuffed full of goodness. We had to wait a couple of minutes for the biscuits to come out of the oven but definitely worth the wait! A great place where all the locals hang out but be prepared, it's a cash only business.
While driving through Mediapolis around noon we decided to stop for a bite to eat. We saw a cafe named Apron Strings and decided to try it out. What a great decision. We were greeted very warmly by our waitress in a very timely manner. They had a lunch special of chipped beef over homemade biscuits. Went there with my dad around 11:30 a.m. on a Tuesday. We were welcomed right away by a very nice lady with a beautiful smile. The daily special was chipped beef gravy over biscuits, with peas, and pie for $8 (or a 1/2 order for $6.75). We decided to order sandwich platters off the menu.
