The United States Bowling Congress is the regulatory agency for the sport of bowling in the United States. It has established standards for the certification of coaches, specifically the requirement that coaches involved in youth bowling programs have the proper background checks to ensure the safety of the bowling community and to uphold its long stabdingvreputation recognized globally. When questioned about this rather than thank the person for taking the time to get involved, the bowling alley banned that individual from being able to bowl at this establishment. The bowler is a decorated Veteran and despite repeated requests for a memorandum of understanding, I have been told the bowling alley is owned by a police officer and that their decision is final. Action speak louder than words, and it appears as though these coaches may not be compliant and when it comes to ensuring the safety of children, it appears as though this police officer is operating an establishment in a manner that not only poses a risk to all bowlers, but the utter disregard for a reasonable standard of care and a duty to ensure youth coaches have had the proper crrtification, I would discourage all parents from allowing their children to bowl at this establishment.
