“There is a particular absurdity to walking down Main Street in Orange City, Iowa. windmills, Dutch lettering, the gentle hum of a town that closes early. Then there is stepping into Brad's Bakery to find, of all things, Paris.

Not a postcard of Paris. The actual flavors of it. The confections here are almost suspiciously beautiful, the kind of pastry case that makes you stand a little too long and wonder how it ended up in northwest Iowa. The coffee is hand-crafted with the seriousness of someone who clearly cares. Plot twist that even France wouldn't see coming... The Dutch specialty bakes, which are genuinely divine and remind you exactly where you are. Try the almond Bankets (almond pies) they will be your new ride or die OR newest addiction, whichever way you look at life.

What saves it from being merely impressive is the welcome. You get Parisian quality delivered with a hometown smile, and somehow neither cancels the other out. There is something here for everyone, and you can taste the love in it — the passionate, meticulous kind of baking that doesn't happen by accident.

From someone who was raised in the New York area, their Pizza is phenomenal, (closest to NY Pizza that I’ve had since moving here 10 years ago). The staff is very friendly and extremely accommodating and can handle servicing the restaurant when it is packed full at their busiest times. As a bonus, they sell T-shirts, hoodies, and hats, with their logo, in a variety of colors and designs at an extremely reasonable price. My one recommendation is to try the Pazookie when you go there; it’s AMAZING!”
