Traveling through Iowa and we wanted breakfast. GPS pulled up Nana Greer’s Family Table Restaurant. Pulled up the menu and said the Cinnamon Rolls were delicious. The cinnamon roll is the biggest I’ve ever seen and very reasonably priced. We took 3/4 of it to leave with us. We both had breakfast and my omelet was fluffy and filled with plenty of veggies. Family Table Diner in Osceola offers a classic small-town Iowa diner experience. The portions are generous, the food is hearty, and it has that comfortable, hometown atmosphere where customers feel welcome. Breakfast is a standout, especially the giant cinnamon rolls and all-day breakfast options. The cinnamon rolls are big and come with a cup of what one guest called a cup of cinnamon roll gravy. The old fashioned HUGE YUMMY Cinnamon Roll with cream cheese frosting is OUTSTANDING and awesome heated up in the microwave. The lunch and dinner menu has plenty of comfort-food favorites. The food is good, hot, and home cooked. The service is friendly, down-to-earth, quick, and pleasant. Staff work well together and treat everyone like a regular. The tables buzz with happy chatter, and the feel is homey and inviting. It is worth a quick jump off 35 to give them a try. Customers will leave full and happy.
