We ate here over the noon hour. The girl that greeted us was very pleasant. She even made sure to seek us out and see how our dining experience was as we were leaving. Conner was our server. He was very personable to our table and others that he served in our area. Very nice young man. Thank you for a great dining experience!
Haven't visited one of these in a long time. It was good service and decent food.
I was so disappointed in our Saturday night out meal at Applebee's in Ottumwa. We all ordered the Bourbon Street Steak. What we got was very disappointed. The steak used to come rare as requested, topped with mushrooms and onions with a side of mashed potatoes and broccoli. What we got was a well done steak the size of a hamburger on top of lots of onions and 2 mushrooms with mashed potatoes. And with drinks it cost over $70. We won't be coming back. The Classic Combo, Caesar Salad, and Fiesta Lime Chicken are great choices. Don't miss out on the Triple Chocolate Meltdown for a sugar rush challenge or the Brownie Bite for a sweet treat. On Wednesdays, kids can enjoy a meal for only 99¢. The restaurant features a jukebox and good speakers in the ceiling, but customers have noted that the volume cannot be adjusted, which can make listening to music difficult. Service is generally friendly and attentive, with staff always smiling and maintaining a positive attitude. Guests have enjoyed their meals, including chicken bacon ranch, and highlighted the kid-friendly atmosphere, with staff taking extra care of young diners. Overall, Applebee's offers a welcoming environment with tasty food and friendly service.
