Took my yearly cross country Amtrak trip, had a 10 hour layover in Ottumwa...easily the best donuts I've ever had. The maple bacon bar, my SO's favorite. So I brought 2 of them home to her...3 days later she said "AMAZING!!!....the best maple bar I've ever had, love the crispy chopped bacon, bacon in every bite ?." We're planning a vacation to Ottumwa just for this place.
This was my first time visiting Main Street Donuts and I was excited because of all of the good reviews this place is known for. I came in around 1 PM today and there was only one tray of glaze donuts left and one cinnamon roll. I understand they close at five, but it just seemed kind of disappointing that with four hours left, there was absolutely nothing to choose from.
