Just passing through town and stopped at Jalapeños on a whim. Food was awesome — an unexpected treat. Great real Mexico fare. Suggest you try the street tacos. Great chips — incredible homemade salsa.

Thus is a very different experience than it used to be. Actually sat where the old kitchen used to be. Alas, no tienda or lengua, or tripe soup. Freshly remodeled and bright, it is decidedly brighter and less decrepit than the old interior. The food was great. They hit all their marks and it was presented well. If you like the old Mexico experience, you will also miss the old place. But there is nothing to complain about here. Just a very different experience. Clean and service...
