“I had never had Ethiopian food before, so I had no idea what to expect. I ordered the “doro wat” (forgive me if I spelled it wrong). Chicken with a hard boiled egg in a stew. I ate the traditional way (with my hands), but cutlery is available upon request. The man who helped me was patient with my questions (I had many). I am excited to share this with my friends, and try more food!
The atmosphere is relaxed. From my observation, this is a place in the community for people to congregate and spend some time enjoying the coffee or the food. I arrived just at the end of a big soccer game, so many of the other patrons were cheering on their team. It was fun to see their excitement!
If you’ve never been, I think this is a place trying at least once (though, I will definitely be back!)“
