I dropped in for dinner at Koi Sushi & Steakhouse while looking for a great meal in Caldwell, and it is an absolute gem of a restaurant that delivers an outstanding dining experience. The interior features a beautifully sleek, modern design with an inviting ambiance that works perfectly for both a casual weeknight dinner or a special night out. I ordered an assortment of their specialty sushi rolls along with a sizzling hibachi dish, and every item was spectacular—the fish was incredibly fresh and pristine, and the steak was cooked to absolute perfection and packed with savory flavor. The service was top-tier, exceptionally friendly, and attentive from start to finish, making it a premier destination for anyone craving high-quality Japanese cuisine in the area.

Food was okay but bland. The presentation was great. My soda tasted like a cleaning chemical and I didn't get the miso soup I ordered. Clean environment however a man working there came to our table as we were finishing up and put dirty dishes from another table on our right in front of me....um likely just won't visit again.

Do you want some great sushi? Well you found the place. We order a couple different sushi rolls and a sample platter. Well that feed 5 of us and I was eating leftovers the next day! All the different ones we ordered were very good but you have to try the Philly. That was a homerun. Don't forget the yum yum sauce!

Claudia was our waitress, her attitude was super rude and she was not polite. We are frequent customers. The truth is that our dinner was quite uncomfortable. She had an angry attitude the whole time. One of the dishes was cold and we let her know and she got upset, making faces the whole time. She was rude to my children for asking about the drinks.

How did I not hear about this place sooner. Great service and amazing food.

Claudia was the worst server i’ve ever had. Took her 20 minutes to bring out our drinks, an hour for food and another 30 for her to come back after we were done eating. She never checked on us and we even had to go up to the counter to ask for some things. She was very rude when I asked for some sauce and made me feel unvalued. We ended up having to go up to get our tickets ourselves and she was extremely disrespectful. They charged us 18% gratuity even though they only do that for 6 people and we had less.
