Explore Storm Lake's Mexican food scene with our favorite restaurants.
“The food served here tastes much more authentic than any other mexican restaurant I've been to. Not only do they serve food, but you can buy fresh meat, goods, and tools to prep food. It is quite small of a restaurant and can feel cramped when they have foods fully stocked. This is an A-Tier restaurant“
“Authentic hole in the wall environment. You won't be waited on, it's more of an "order up at the front and find a seat to wait" kind of deal which suited us just fine; it felt casual and nonpretenious. Steak burrito was delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!Parking is limited, and we saw signs for the laundromat before we saw the restaurant so it is a little hidden.“
“While in Storm Lake we stopped at BozWellz before driving back to Des Moines. We walked in at 1:30pm, not realizing that it wasn't open for dine-in, just carry-out orders. Pam was very kind, poured us a beer and let us hang out and relax while she continued prepping for the evening shift. She was very gracious to us out-of-towners - we'll be back for a meal on our next visit!“
“Took mine out - I got a flouta and it was SO GOOD! They were out of horchata so I got the servers favorite drink and it was a semi-sweet fruity drink that was good too! Nice staff!Kid-friendliness: Kids could find something they like here!Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, I believe the doors are regulation size, but I am unsure if they have a button to open/close the door!“
“Third time dining here with family & friends after events at BVU. Always tasty and remarkably fast for a large group. Daughter and I both had mole chicken dishes, and several in our group had to try the sauce. Delicious, and not a flavor that every Mexican restaurant offers!“
“Will always love lajuanitas! To me there's no better tacos! They're always busy so just remind them if they forgot a bag of the carrots or limes ☺️Kid-friendliness: Atmosphere isn't great, but makes up for it in the great food!Wheelchair accessibility: It's all one level so you only have to get to the door. And plenty of room to move around.“
