Fabulous place... we go to the food truck they have at Iowa City Farmer's Market, and we happened to be in town so we stopped in the main restaurant... incredible food and service. Got to speak to the owner and chat a while. Very nice people, great food, great atmosphere. We live over an hour away, but we will be back, especially in the off season when there is no Farmer's market.
The food had very good flavor but some of the servers could of had better customer service habits. We were told that he would clean a booth right away for us but then never returned to do it. There were quite a few people in the restaurant but not overwhelming enough to be ignorant to a waiting customer. Ended up having to get our own silverware and menu's and setting at a table that was clean. The cheese dip and Bistec a La Mexicana were very good and the service got better after...read full review

I've never had a bad experience here. We love the food, and the servers (and owner) are all wonderful. It's our favorite place to get Mexican food!Vegetarian options: I get the veggie fajitas and I'm not a vegetarian. They are so good!Kid-friendliness: They are so welcoming to the kids, and even brought us dessert!
