“#84/2023 Compared to the prior years gone us the cabin feel the fireplace is gone. The old McDonald's at Walcott received the overhaul a few years back just around the time of covid I believe. It's still sits right next to the Pilot truck stop has room for a couple of trucks. It's been through different ups and downs through the time good reviews bad reviews good service bad service but over the last year I'd say they've had a really good solid staff I'm surprised I've never reviewed this to this day I've stopped here quite a few times through yrs It does have some nice new soft cushioned boots which are very comfortable to sit in same with the chairs. I came in was created immediately and do what I wanted the only drawback they didn't have Diet Coke on that day or in the back they were waiting on the truck to come with some more. So I had a Big Mac meal no pickle or onion french fries medium size no salt and I also went with a nugget small order four piece sweet and sour. And I opted to have unsweetened iced tea. Quality the food was very good everything was hot and fresh. Bathrooms are very clean. So definitely above average of other ones holding it at four stars it was an outstanding but it was very good.“

“Service was respectful. They pay attention to the customers. Compared to gen Z'ers who are more interested in their own drama in front of the customers. The Salad was very fresh and excellent for a fast food restaurant. 5 stars. Great experience.“

“The high Google rating for Smashed Burger drew me in, and while I am giving them high marks, I think I should manage expectations up front..This burger joint is tucked away on one end of a neighborhood bar in the west end of Davenport.. I wasn't even sure I was in the right place initially until I walked around the front and found their sign..That said, if you are a young couple and have kids in tow, you might want to consider takeout, but then you'll probably be risking the food quality depending on how far you will travel with it as carryout is in standard foam, hinged containers..Okay.. The food.. I ordered a bacon cheddar burger with lettuce and a side of mayo.. I ordered their mac & cheese as a side..The burger was generally good.. No complaints.. The best burger I've ever had, like others here, have proclaimed?? Nope.. But a solid offering, particularly if you are combining it with any of the libations from the bar.. The mayo was offered in packets.. There were no concerns there, and it wasn't bad, even though it was a brand I hadn't tried previously..The mac & cheese was respectable.. Creamy, laced with bits of jalapeños, and quite tasty..Overall, I'm not disappointed in my choice of venues for the night.. Would I return?? Probably not.. The food, while generally good, just didn't rock my world enough for me to want it and the bar scene again..The service was great, so there are no issues there either.. And there are plenty of other burgers and side options for a diner who doesn't mind the bar-scene atmosphere..All in all, I want to wish them wild success with their concept..“
