Stopped in to grab a bite to eat. This was our second time visiting this year on our travels. Haylie was our server and she did a very nice job and was also very personable and nice to work with. She is an asset to this business. Thanks for the great experience, we will stop again on another trip.
Haylie is great she makes sure we have drinks food.

House specialties include an excellent Pork Chop, a Parmesan crusted pork loin with mushrooms and white wine sauce, and a phenomenal breakfast. The fried chicken is very good, especially for those who like crispy skin. The breaded pork tenderloin did not disappoint. The biscuits and gravy are highly recommended, with perfectly flaky biscuits and rich, creamy gravy. The salad bar is great and included with the fried chicken entree. Fresh ingredients are used, and the food is amazing. The homemade carrot cake from scratch is a standout, and the pie slices, giant cookies, and cinnamon rolls look amazing. Guests must try ALL the pies, described as the best in Iowa. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, like stepping into a family home, though some may not prefer the farmer atmosphere and drinking out of jars. The service is friendly, attentive, and great. There is a full service bar, and parking accommodates motorcycles, cars, vans, RVs, and trucks. It is a true highway gem.
