I ate lunch here today. Had a grilled tenderloin and sweet potato fries. Service was fast and the beer selection is good. The tenderloin was tender and juicy. The fries were excellent.

We stopped in for the first time for a mid-week lunch after reading that they placed high in the Iowa pork tenderloin contest a few years ago with their grilled tenderloin. I was not disappointed: it was a large piece of meat that was tender, juicy, and well seasoned. The price was a reasonable $6.50 (sides like fries are extra). Slaby's is a small bar in the middle of nowhere. nothing to brag about being there but not a place to be ashamed of either. I have been there several times in the past and always have had good food as far as bar food goes. On Thursdays they do a wings thing where they fry up chicken wings for you. it's not the best price in the world but it is not too over priced.
