Just passing through on a road trip and stopped in for a bite. We had the roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans. The service is a little slow but it’s worth the wait. The roasted chicken was so hot and fresh you had to give it a minute, so you didn’t burn your tongue. I would stop here to eat again, but not if I was in a hurry.

We arrived at 1230, got drinks and waited almost 10 minutes before the curly dark blonde (she never shared her name, and seemed quite put out of to have to take our table) came to take our order. We waited while 2 tables came in and received their food before I finally asked (a tall blue eyes boy) if we were ever getting food... then as if by miracle here it came... in all its heat lamp wilted glory. It had clearly been sitting there a while. But the appetizer pretzel still hadn't arrived... to which he said well that'll be a few minutes. We tried to eat it. But do you know what lettuce that has been sitting under a heat lamp for over 30 minutes tastes like? It's awful. The girl who was supposed to be our server never came back to our table, nor would she even look at me when I went up to the carry out counter. We had a dog in the car and needed to pack it up and go so i asked for boxes almost immediately. The cherry on top was when they brought me a box for my pretzel, there was a pretzel shaped stain inside.... it had already been used. The thing is, the food was actually still tasty once I peeled the plastic like cheese off of my Philly. The fries were fantastic! The kids chicken strips were very good but my husband's burger was awful. We finally walked out at 1:52, over an hour and a half to leave hungry. We will not return and that's sad because I could've really liked this place but for the careless teenagers.

Normally in the past we have had good food and good service. Tonight February 25 2024. I don't know what was wrong. When I finally got my French dip it was cold and the cheese was not even melted. The bun should have been toasted. The bottem of the sandwich was a soggy mess. They didn't bring out the dip. My cousin went and got it. I had sent the sandwich back to be warmed up when it came back the cheese was melted but it was cold again and now the fries were also. At least the cottage cheese I ordered was cold.

WoW this place is amazing. Went in on Saturday evening for dinner and to watch CFB. I sat at the bar and had a drink in my hand in record time. Kelly the bartender was fantastic!!! Even though I was just stopping by for dinner, she made me feel like I was a local that had been going there for months. So this is my review. The atmosphere of this place was amazing. The food was fantastic!! I had the burger and fries, which I have to say was delicious. Perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of condiments. Fries were cooked and seasoned well. I was amazed that when I ordered a Coke it was delivered with a smile and clear in color. Just teasing Kelly!! Water with a Coke chaser. I highly recommend the Mile High Peanut Butter Pie. It is to die for. Overall, this place was truly amazing from the friendly staff, to the delicious food and that real home town welcome feeling. Who knows you may end up at the bar sitting with Walnut IA’s Mayor talking about just about anything. I wish I could give you a million stars it was definitely worth it. Can’t wait to see my new friends again!!!Parking: Being a truck driver I can say that are is ample parking for upwards of 6-10 semis.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp out front with flat surfaces inside for smooth access and mobility.
