Drive from Harlan on Sundays after church for lunch. The food is great, especially the broasted chicken with the two sides.

I’ve stopped in Walnut IA many times on my CO-WI-CO roadtrips, always turning south to the gas station & Econolodge hotel, oblivious to this gem of a diner just 1/2mi north.
Found it last night, Mon 8pm… I thought “probably closed.” Nope.

The service is fast and friendly. The food is fantastic and the desserts look delicious but you get so much food that I haven’t even tried their desserts.😋
