You don't go here for the atmosphere, entertainment, or service. You go to La Michoacana for some salt-of-the-earth Mexican food and strong AF margaritas for dirt cheap. This heavenly hole in the wall serves salsa that makes me believe in love again. It's like the perfect mate: kinda chunky, has flavor, balanced, and plenty of spice. This place is really good. Coming from the midwest, I thought it would be rough finding authentic Mexican food. Well, this hit the spot, from the delicious al pastor to the very flavorful menudo. They added so much tripe to the soup I was blown away. Mid west, they add hominy to menudo and less meat. Fantastic authentic Mexican food I will definitely be a regular while I'm in iowa.

Great food. Actually spicy (I'm from the south) the telivisions are always playing entertaining Mexican TV. Great vibe will goagain. If that service remains stable it's 5 star all the way
