Although there are other decent places to get a sub sandwich in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area, Sub City beats them all. The sandwiches are authentic New Jersey style, the ingredients are always fresh, and they slice the meat right in front of you. We are blessed to have 3 Sub City locations in our area. All of them are great, but the downtown Waterloo location caters mostly to the lunch crowd, and College Hill is a bit higher priced (ironically, since it serves a lot of college...
one of their amazing staff tonight recommended me the dill spread because i’m a pickle fanatic. she told me if i didn’t like it to blame it on the restaurant ghost but i have to say, it was absolutely banging. thank you to the employee who’s name i unfortunately didn’t get :(
