My buddy and I were looking for a breakfast place in northeast Iowa, and we were pleasantly surprised with the S & D Cafe! The staff was friendly and attentive, the owner was very nice, and the food was fast and delicious - just what we were looking for! We will definitely be returning to the S & D Cafe which opened in 1933!
My friend and I had a terrific breakfast at this little gem of a restaurant in Waukon. The food was hot, delicious and very reasonably priced. The waitress did an outstanding job as well!

This place is ok for a quick breakfast. The food is good but we’ve been there three times and the eggs were never cooked properly. The water served is usually warm so have to ask for ice water. It’s not a bad place but definitely not on the top of the list.
