St. Kilda Collective Reviews
A great place for business meetings. Can get a little loud when busy because of the acoustics, but the service and food/coffee is great.
St. Kilda is a phenomenal eatery, there's never a bad dish on their menu. I myself have been completely wowed the handful of times I've eaten here as a guest. The staff are always super attentive and courteous. Their menu offers several Vegetarian options to choose from. If you're in the Valley Junction area this place is a must. Coffee lovers this is the place. Often but not always they offer some delectable baked goods. The interior is designed like a modern art gallery it actually...read full review
We were worried by how quiet it was when we were there- especially for how good it was. We heard it gets busy though.
We are from SF and we think the food was great! had various vegetarian options- my dad got a rice bowl with black beans and pico de gallo, I had the apple salad which was nice and refreshing with tart apples, dried cranberries, and candied nuts.
We split a chocolate mousse cake for dessert and it was very nice, good texture, not too sweet, nice flavor.

St. Kilda Collective offers amazing Aussie-inspired fare with delicious options like the Salmon and Pie Mates pies. The food is perfectly prepared and flavorful, with a signature touch that keeps customers coming back for more. The restaurant's location is convenient, and the staff is friendly, making the dining experience enjoyable. Visitors can enjoy drinks like Bloody Mary with Mezcal and After Midnight, along with appetizers such as Collective Wings, which are so tasty that many are tempted to order more. For dinner, dishes like the Cubano and Squash Risotto are highly recommended, with both meals being good enough to order again. The atmosphere is amazing, and the service is fantastic, creating a great place to eat towards the north end of the Valley Junction 'Strip'. The brunch portions are just right, and although groups may need to wait during peak hours, nearby spots like the cat cafe offer a good place to wait. The staff is described as great, welcoming, and helpful, with one server being particularly personable and attentive. The restaurant is praised for its modern, sleek design and high-quality, fusion-style cuisine offered at approachable prices, making it a recommended destination for those visiting Des Moines.
