Starbucks in West Des Moines

“Took off one star for atmosphere not with a complaint for this location but due to Starbuck's new policy of handing you the credit machine to guilt you into adding a tip! When I pay $7 for a coffee and $7 for a snack that should cost a buck, Starbucks should increase the wages of their employees, NOT push it back on their loyal Starbucks fans! Due to this policy this will be my final Starbuck's visit (I am switching to Scooter's - check 'em out). However, NOTHING wrong at this location (other than the extortion and exorbitant costs that are inherent at Starbuck's). Great service, standard Starbuck's coffee fare, and this is in particular a never busy location. If you insist on paying a large part of your paycheck for coffee at Starbuck's (and being emotionally FORCED to add a tip for someone merely doing their job) you may as go here!“

“I have been to MANY Starbucks but this has to be the best experience I have ever had. This crew (Ella, Jacey, & Elsa) was so courteous, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do! The coffee was delicious but their positive energy was a great start to the morning!“

“First of all every place can have their good and bad days. But in the case of this Hans guy below. You are just cheap. Stop trying to scam places for cheap coffee. If you can’t afford it stay home.

On a personal note my daughter and I go here once a week together and it’s amazing. Mostly because of Mare. I think that’s how you spell it. Anyway she is super nice and always friendly to my daughter as well. Especially these days when no one seems to have any customer service skills whatsoever.“

“I was staying at a nearby hotel for business. I am an avid Starbucks Gold Card member so I opted out of the hotel coffee and walked here. The guy at the counter was one of the best baristas I have met and I travel all over the US. He was friendly and made conversation as if I was an everyday customer. My Home Starbucks that I visit daily in Scottsdale doesn't even treat me that way. The food and drink was ready almost immediately. This is a 5 star Starbucks in my opinion. Keep up the great work!“

“Starbucks is a great place if you need some quick great tasting coffee. They have a variety of drinks catering to all varieties of preferences. Staff is also usually very friendly. If you have never been it is something that I think you should try at least once.“
