“My family and I recently stopped at Smash Park in Des Moines on a whim for some family fun and food. The atmosphere was laid back and our kids thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor pickle ball courts and the arcade. Food, dessert and drinks were all crowd pleasers! And to go completely over the top, we left our blanket outside and Jerry answered my phone call, went outside to retrieve it from the bench where I left it, and mailed it back to me free of charge. In a world where kindness and customer support are harder and harder to come by, Jerry and Smash Park get a 10/10 from this family!!!“

“This is our first time here and it was amazing! The atmosphere is straight out of the 80s/90s and being a GenX it was awesome! Even the menu was a flash back to the past. The food was phenomenal! Their breakfast potatoes were to die for and I don’t do hash browns usually. Chelsey S was a top of the line server. The only minor complaint was the hostess didn’t know if they served Pepsi or Coke products. Just seemed odd her not knowing. I would hands down recommend this for a breakfast place.“

“We had dinner there tonight and I also had one of the Iowa mules. I don’t think I can recommend this place enough! Most places either make the drinks too strong but they taste gross or not strong enough and you don’t get your moneys worth, but this was probably the best mule I’ve ever had. Also the food was delicious and on a Saturday night we had no wait!“

“I want to give a shout out to Early Birds restaurant in West Des Moines. Kevin was a fantastic bartender. First time I have been here. The food was amazing. I love the atmosphere. The whole concept is great. The menu… too many things to choose from. I got the Cinnamon roll French toast. Delicious. And the Hashbrown holes delicious. It was great to get an appetizer before my French toast. I have to give a shout out to Kevin as he knows everything on the menu plus he has great suggestions for drinks from the bar! Will deffinately be going back again.“

“We always have a great time at Gilroy’s, but tonight went above and beyond! When our server found out we were celebrating my birthday, not only did she bring me a dessert on the house, but she also brought me a birthday card signed by the staff and a coupon for my next visit. She even caught that I’d ordered a vegetarian meal and a mocktail and tailored the coupon accordingly. It was so thoughtful and I wish I would have caught her name because she was truly incredible and deserves a shout out!“

We went into the place thinking it would be mid, but we got the juiciest yet crispest Salmon Sandwich and the most flavorful Caesar Salad with chicken and our eyes were opened. My dad ordered a veggie pizza saying “the flavors exploded” on his tongue. We ordered two burgers and two cookie desserts that were also just as fire. We went here for a convenience but left with a completely altered outlook on this magnificent place. Oh and the music matched the vibe in the most synchronized and propelling way“

“I don’t remember my severs name but she was so considerate and made me feel so comfortable. Having ARFID feels quite embarrassing to share with waitresses, so I’m very glad she was so understanding. However. My food was made to be mixed with several other items that I did not include in my bowl. I really appreciated how the spatulas would be wiped off before handling separate bowls. If this isn’t standard practice in hu hot then I think it really should be!“

“I wanted more food options, truth be told it was not what I expected I guess I was thinking more food court like and someone had told me food truck options but that was not the case which was NOT a problem at all.my husband and I both had brawtwurst and shares truffle fries, a drink and a bar beverage and is was $56. They were out of a few options on the menu, mainly seafood options, which I wanted shrimp.you order from the QR code on the tables or the kiosk when you enter.Nick which we believe was the manager was nice, approachable and appeared to be "not too good to work" he would grab something if we randomly asked as they were not busy for a Tuesday afternoon right after at.patricks day.Bathrooms were clean.Free refills on non alcoholic drinks.It would be a hug place to have a party.The distillery is separate from the food hall, I wasn't aware until I asked, I thought the distillary was were the drinks came from they are apparently two separate businesses.“

Food is always fresh and piping hot. I will always come here over any other place. I do wish they still did the buffet. I loved the mango chicken they used to have and I wish they would make it as an entree on their menu.

“I can't stress enough how much I LOVE this place.
My family and I have been going to this place my whole life. I moved several states away, but still, every time I visit home, I ALWAYS grab the #1 chicken combo here!!
For $11.39 I get a heaping pile of rice, steamed veggies, and delicious teriyaki chicken.
I always have leftovers or split it with someone because it's so much. I find it to be way yummier and more generous portions than any other teriyaki shop or restaurant.
The steamed veggies is the only lacking thing since they definitely could use some seasoning or more flavor, but I honestly like that they're simple/plain since it balances out the rich chicken and is easy on the stomach. But frankly, I could also just take it home and season it to my preference anyways.
The workers are also insanely fast, efficient, and consistent with the portions and seasonings. It's fun watching them make the food in front of me while I wait and drool.

Overall, for the price, the quantity, and quality, few other food vendors top Great Teriyaki. I'll gladly walk past the Chick-fil-A and others, because if I ate there, I will spend much more than $11.39 and still be hungry shortly after“

“Went there for lunch and our server Marissa was absolutely lovely, very sweet and attentive to what we needed. Food was absolutely incredible, my burger was cooked exactly how I asked, and overall the restaurant has a very cute and cozy vibe to it.
