“In August 2025, we visited the Fireside Winery at the Amana Colonies in Amana, Iowa. The Fireside Winery has colorful outdoor glass bottle sculptures on display. The Amana Colonies are a collection of 7 Colonies of German Heritage in Central Iowa, and they are not Amish. The Fireside Winery was fun to visit and see the outdoor decorations. Besides the Fireside Winery store, there are also many quaint shops and buildings, and they are all clean and well-maintained. Apparently, the Amana Colonies draws the highest number of visitors of any tourist attraction in Iowa. We greatly enjoyed visiting the Fireside Wine, which is part of the Amana Colonies.”

“White Cross Cellars is truly a treasure. The experience was made all the more special by the owner, who is absolutely enchanting and incredibly approachable. It was an absolute delight speaking with him—his passion for wine and the story behind his ventures added so much depth to the visit. You can tell he pours his heart into every bottle.

The wines were wonderful, but it’s the personal touch and genuine hospitality that really set this place apart. We left not just with a few bottles, but with a real appreciation for the craft and care behind them. Would love to come back again soon!”

“We had the best time. We are staying at a local campground. This place was recommended by the gal at the camp store. Well we are thrilled she did. Our server, Aubrey was the best. She was fun, attentive and we felt like we were being waited on by a close friend. They better hold on to her. She’s one of a kind. The atmosphere was fun and the place was clean. The food was excellent. The wine & beer were some of the best we’ve had. If we are ever traveling thru this area again we will come back. My even have lunch today before heading out.”

“this review is for the new Rexburg location in Mother hibbards have stopped in there four times within the last week to try the food and they never have anything in the warmer. no pizzas nothing. I went in there tonight. no food in the warmer. the kids that work there are sitting on the floor up against the wall doing absolutely nothing. Do they only serve Pizza at lunch and zero food for dinner? there's nothing anywhere that says what times they have food what time? they don't have food so tonight I went from hangar 54 right over to Valley wide and got me a personal pizza and now I'm headed to work.”

“The Parnell Tavern was a very pleasant place service was very good and everyone was friendly! I would definitely recommend trying out this small Tavern 5 miles south of Williamsburg in Parnell they have slots and a pool table and a large beer garden summer time would be very nice for those who smoke they have bands during the summer in beer garden and you will have a great time so come on down to Parnell and check it out for yourself y'all!”

“We asked DK’s Eatery to provide a meal for about 35-40 on short notice. We appreciated them working with us and they were great to accommodate, especially with only 3 staff working. The food was simple but delicious. Even had a wheel chair ramp to help get into the eatery. We will be back to try out more of their menu.”
