Ate here because it was this or the pizza place. Was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Ordered the rib eye mid-rare and it was perfect. The meat was very tender and well marbled - salt and pepper was the only seasoning fit for this delicious cut. The loaded baked potato was good as was the specialty dessert (forgot the name). The only downside was the broccoli was over-cooked old-school mid-western style but that's a forgivable minor faux pas especially given the excellence of the main attraction. Highly recommended.
This burger was HUGE! And the flavor was amazing. This was the double black and blue burger. I should have gotten a single. It was so much food. Good thing I did a really hard bike ride at City of Rocks that morning. Service was friendly and attentive. Casual atmosphere for a steakhouse, but worth coming back to visit. And that burger was an incredible value.
What a fabulous meal that Krista cooked! The salmon was delicious. No complaints about the steak either! Service was friendly and prompt. Thank you for taking such good care of our group of seven hikers!
We waited a hour for salads and everything came out around the same time most of our steaks came out raw the pudding they gave us was alright and the best part of the meal. The waitresses seemed confused. Service got better when a better trained employee clocked in. Refilled our own drinks.
We were looking forward to this steakhouse for months after planning our trip. It did not disappoint. The ladies working - Krista and Holly - were so kind and friendly. We ordered NY strip, dutch oven potatoes, salad and homemade chocolate cake. It was amazing. Cooked to perfection! We loved it so much we went back again for cheeseburgers and steak sandwiches with the fries. Those were also incredible. Loved the atmosphere and food.
We had a great time! Service was great, food was delicious , and you have to have the pioneer pudding, it is to die for!
Went for early dinner. Had NY strip, fries, salad, veggies, dessert combo. Meat was cooked to perfection: juicy and well seasoned. Fries were seasoned and delicious, too. Service was very friendly. PS: The cut in the meat was from me checking if it was done correctly (and it definitely was).
Service, food and atmosphere was awesome, we had rib eye steaks that was cooked to perfection. We will definitely make the 2hr drive and be back.
The food is top quality and affordable. All seams to be made from scratch, and cooked perfect! Glad I stopped! A new must
Went spent the weekend at the Almo Inn with the highlight hoping to be the Saturday family dinner. And it was perfect. There were four adults and two kids. My wife loves lobster and the lobster was perfect. The staff was great and attentive. Everything was cooked and delivered efficiently and prompt. They place is a family owned place and the care was great . I had a business and my kids worked for me. It made them successful. It was nice to see this . And if given the chance make sure you get the pioneer pudding .... It topped off the meal perfectly.
Kid-friendliness: There grandkids were treated well and kept happy. Was nice

I was very happy to hear that the Steakhouse is open again. When my husband and I visited a few weeks ago, we enjoyed the rib dinner and of course pioneer pudding..yummy!! The pudding alone is worth the drive, but the awesome customer service made it totally worth it! We'll be back, again and again! ?
Steakhouse has been closed for years, but the inn is worth every penny. The rooms are well stocked, wonderfully planned out, and the decor is amazing.
