Was looking for authentic Mexican bread for Dia de los Muertos, and decided to try this Panaderia for pan de muerto. This pan dulce was soooooo soft and tasty, no stale bread here my friends. If you're looking to impress your neighbors with hot chocolate and goodies, pair it with this bread. Ahhh so happy I found it before the holidays! Also, they accept Apple Pay. That's an added convenience for me.

This place is always so great! I’m glad that Boise has a Mexican Bakery because there wasn’t any before that I know of.

We love this place! They always have a great variety of Pan, seems like each week they rotate different types of Pan, and they're all good. Finding this gem is definitely a plus to moving to Boise. Now if the Carnicerias would offer other cooked carne, like other near by county's, that would be great.

This place is adorable. There are many tasty choices! The staff is kind and helpful. Looking forward to going back!
Coming from Las Vegas with countless panaderias...I couldn’t find anything I enjoyed until my significant other brought me here! We bought a couple different pan and my kids are obsessed as was I!

Exploring Mexican food this past week. Found a very good panaderia with very good pan dulce. We liked it better than La Esperanza. It is El Rico Pan and it is located at 5220 Fairview Ave, Boise. They also have a place in Caldwell (#1). The Boise location is #2. The best part is that this panaderia is located in the parking lot of Carniceria Coalcoman. You can get your fill and do some take-home as well. When starting El Rico Pan #2 Alberto Contreras Jr., owner of Carniceria Coalcoman, located at the back of a strip mall behind the bakery hired baker Audel "Lito" Chavez, a family friend from California. Chavez grew up in Coalcoman, Mexico, a small town in the Sierra Madre Mountains, the same town where Contreras' dad, Alberto Contreras Sr., who helps runs the family store, came from. The pan for the day is clearly displayed along one wall of glass cases. If you do not see them, ask for the pan with queso and jalapeño. You can thank me later.
